Sensational seeds week - dill

Another day and we're closer to the Seed Library re-opening! This Wednesday we have our pick from Heike: Dill.
"Dill is a very easy herb to grow in the garden after frost or in a pot on the window sill. Great in salads, dressings and butters.
If you are into preserving you need to let it bloom and seed. It reseeds itself easily so watch the ripe seed heads and/or collect for next year.
Flowers and seed heads look great in arrangements. For just foliage use you have to reseed for constant supply. The swallowtail butterfly loves this plant and it is a host plant for their larvae."
The Seed Library was developed in partnership with the East Gwillimbury Public Library and East Gwillimbury Gardeners with the goal of supporting food literacy and to promote a love of gardening and our natural environment. The Seed Library can be found in the Holland Landing Library Branch and is free to to access with an EGPL Library card. For more info visit our website!
