National Heritage Features at Rogers Reservoir!
Did you know that Rogers Reservoir Conservation Area is home to hundreds, if not thousands of species! This property contains a variety of different ecosystems, or habitat types, that make it an ideal spot for many species to live and thrive! If you’re in the forest you might hear birds such as a pileated woodpecker, eastern wood-pewee and the red-eyed vireo signing to you. But if you move into a wetland area you might see the great blue heron, killdeers, or yellow warblers!
If you would like to learn some common bird calls, you can visit: https://www.dnr.state.mn.us/mcvmagazine/bird_songs_interactive/index.html
