Making Art with Friends: 3 Reasons You Should Join the Mount Albert Group of Artists
Whether you are just getting started in your art journey or have been creating it for years, the Mount Albert Group of Artists is a relaxed, welcoming community. If you love to make art, here are three reasons why it’s a great idea to join this group!
1. Don’t do art alone.
Well, at least not all the time. Get inspired by other artists at various stages and share knowledge. It’s also a great opportunity to make new friends with similar interests. Members of the group work in lots of different media including oils, acrylics, watercolours, scratch art, pastels, pen & ink and mixed media.
2. Enjoy opportunities for display and sale.
The Group has displays at The Lighthouse Café, the East Gwillimbury Public Library and Lions and Sun Bar and Lounge. These are rotated seasonally and can be for display only or for sale. Members’ art is also shared through a monthly e-newsletter.
3. Take advantage of learning and development.
The Group’s newsletter features articles on technique and posts from established artists. There are also opportunities for workshops and instructor sessions depending on member interest.
