Have You Seen Mount Albert Branch Lately?

Updated: Mar 17, 2022

If you haven't been to your Library in Mount Albert for a bit, you'll be surprised during your next visit. As part of the evolving East Gwillimbury community, the Library embraces change and growth. One such change is a series of renovations to the Mount Albert Branch started in late 2019. These are finally complete with the addition of two new study rooms.

Remember this?

The branch's refresh creates a more welcoming, modern space for customers. It includes new furnishings that better suit the community's needs. You'll enjoy more ergonomic chairs at the public computers, modular tables and chairs for flexibility in programming, and an inviting colour palette (goodbye, 1990s teal and maroon!).

A renewed children's area includes pint-sized beanbag chairs, an activity wall and chalkboard, and a cozy new couch perfect for cuddling up to share a story.

Fresh and new!

Finally, the two new study rooms are the perfect spot for a couple hours of work or studying. They feature tables and chairs with plenty of space to spread out papers and devices, as well as armchairs and ottomans for a peaceful break. The glass walls of the study rooms allow for lots of natural light.

Come by to say hi and see everything your Library has to offer at the refreshed Mount Albert Branch! We would love to know what you think.
